Standard One Presentation
Standard 1: A physically
literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor skills and
movement patterns.
Goal
The goal of
physical education is to develop physically literate individuals who have the
knowledge, skills, and confidence to enjoy a lifetime of healthful physical
activity. To pursue a lifetime of healthy physical activity, a physically
literate individual:
1. Has learned the skills necessary to participate in a variety of
physical activities.
2. Knows the implications and the benefits of involvement in
various types of physical activities.
3. Participates regularly in physical activity.
4. Is physically fit.
5. Values physical activity and its contributions to a healthful
lifestyle.
Standard One
Below are
learning targets that you can demonstrate in your presentation.
Standard One A
physically literate individual demonstrates competency in a variety of motor
skills and movement patterns. Learning Targets |
1.) Demonstrates the correct technique for basic skills in at
least two individual or outdoor activities. |
2.) Demonstrates command of rhythm and timing by creating a
movement sequence(dancing) to music as an individual or in a group. |
3.) Demonstrate consistency in individual specialized skills
in health-related fitness activities (e.g., resistance training, yoga,
kickboxing, fitness walking) |
4.) Demonstrate consistency in performing individual
specialized skills in a variety of movement forms (e.g., aquatics, outdoor
and recreational activities, track and field). |
1. Choose
between a Photo Presentation or Video Presentation.

Photo Presentation: minimum
of five photos and a description for each photo
·
Video Presentation: minimum
of one minute and a maximum of five minutes
2. Choose one of the four learning targets to
complete your presentation.
3. Demonstrate the learning target either by
photo or video presentation.
